The Free Ticketed Community Event Is Set For July 6 At Mitchel Field Athletic Complex in Uniondale
East Meadow, NY – June 25, 2026 — After a crowd of more than 4,200 watched the United States defeat Bosnia and Herzegovina at last Wednesday’s live broadcast event at Eisenhower Park, The Island FC, in partnership with Nassau County and Nassau County Executive Bruce A. Blakeman, will host a third free ticketed public viewing event for the United States Men’s National Team’s FIFA World Cup 26™ Round of 16 match on Monday, July 6.
Doors open at 7:15 PM ET ahead of the 8:00 PM ET kickoff at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex at 1 Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Uniondale. The event will be held indoors at Global Sports Center at Mitchel Field Athletic Complex.
Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Free parking will be available on-site.
Fans attending the free event can watch the match on two large viewing screens while enjoying giveaways, family-friendly activities, merchandise, concessions, and beverages throughout the evening.

This third public viewing event builds on the strong community response to the club’s first and second public viewing events and continues the growing momentum around the game on Long Island as fans rally behind the U.S. Men’s National Tteam in what is also known as the Knockout Stage. Teams that lose in this round are eliminated from the competition and do not advance in the tournament.
The event also comes as Nassau County and communities across the country continue celebrating America’s 250th anniversary, adding to the significance of gathering to support Team USA on the global stage.
